Premiere Screening
& Launch party
On 26 April 2005 Sanctuary Music Group hosted an invitation-only
evening in central London to launch the Born to Boogie DVD. A drinks reception
at the Curzon Cinema in Mayfair was followed by a screening of a special
edit of various elements of Born to Boogie, the second Wembley concert,
and extracts from the new documentary, all in DTS 96/24 high resolution
audio playback.
Mark Allen, DVD Director, introduced the film, with Tony Visconti and
Rolan Bolan joining him on-stage to talk about their involvement in this
unique project. Special guests also included Gloria Jones, Bill Legend,
Keith Morris, Geoffrey Bayldon, Jeff Dexter, George Underwood, Boz Boorer,
Harry and Sandy Feld, and representatives from Shinko Music in Japan.

After the screening, Rolan and Tony signed special posters and goodie
bags for many of the Bolan fans in attendance.
At the after-show party at the Embassy Club on Old Burlington Street,
revellers were greeted with special Hot Love and Jeepster cocktails (click
here to see cocktail menu in pdf format), while a string quartet reprised
the orchestral section from the Garden Party sequence of Born to Boogie.
Television monitors played T.Rex Live at Wembley; the club was decorated
with T.Rex balloons, T.Rex coasters and posters; special promotional badges
were available for all. Bill, Tony and Rolan were presented with framed
disks of the DVD in recognition of their contributions to this project.
